Port Huron Businesses and Industries -- The City of Port Huron stretches for seven miles along the western shore of the St. Clair River at the southern base of Lake Huron. Port Huron is an international border crossing with Canada linking the two countries with the spectacular Blue Water bridges. Port Huron’s stunning waterways and diverse annual events make it a year-round tourist destination, as well as a transportation and manufacturing center. Facts about Port Huron -- The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments has estimated the 2010 population of Port Huron to be a little over 30,000 persons. Port Huron is the main city in St. Clair County where the population is estimated to be 63,600 in 2010. There is a small town feeling and spirit nestled in Southeast Michigan where the seven county population is roughly 4.8 million people. Other facts important to business include highway transportation where Port Huron is the third busiest border crossing for commerce and the eastern origin of both Interstate highways 69 and 94.
