Alma College -- Alma College is a private, four-year liberal arts institution. The residential campus contains over 1,400 students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1. There are over 40 majors, minors, and interdisciplinary areas of study.  The College also offers opportunities to study abroad, conduct student research, and engage in experiential or service learning. Alma College is named one of The Princeton Review’s “Best in the Midwest,” listed in the Fiske Guide to Colleges, and is recognized as a “College of Distinction.”  

City of Alma: The City of Alma is located in Gratiot County, Michigan and has a population of 9,383. Adjacent to the city is Pine River Township and the City of St. Louis, for a total urban population of approximately 20,000. Alma is located in the center of the state and is less than 60 miles from both Lansing and Saginaw when accessing the major highways US Highway-127 and Michigan Highway 46, respectively. The City is business-oriented and major manufacturers include International Automotive Components, Alma Products, and Merrill Fabricators. The City offers the Pine River, Fred Meijer Heartland Trail (a non-motorized, paved trail), Pine River Country Club, live theatre, unique downtown shops, major retail chains, bowling alley, and movie theatres as entertainment and recreation options.
