Oakwood Executive Park Customizes For Its Tenants

Oakwood Tenant - Fitzgerald HenneDart Development Group recently closed a deal with Fitzgerald Henne & Associates, Inc., a Dart Development tenant since 1999. Fitzgerald Henne needed to move from their Delhi Township location in Oakwood Executive Park to the City of Lansing. Rather than lose a long-standing tenant, Dart Development offered to build out a new suite for them within the business park's City of Lansing jurisdiction. Dart Development Group's property management team customized the new suite to meet the tenant's specifications, and the tenant was given a competitive lease rate, ensuring the continuation of an excellent business relationship.

"We are pleased to move into the City of Lansing and remain in the Oakwood Executive Park conveniently located at the intersection of I 96 and US 127. We wish to thank all our clients for their continued support and invite everyone to stop in and see our new facilities." - Greg Minshall, President,Fitzgerald Henne & Associates, Inc.

There are many exciting things going on at Dart Development, managers of the Wixom Business Center and Oakwood Executive Park.

MEDA Region 4 - Highlights on Mid-Michigan

bay cityThe terms Central Michigan and Mid-Michigan are used interchangeably to describe this region's proximity in the state. The Capitol of Michigan, Lansing is located in Ingham County in Mid-Michigan. Saginaw, Midland, Bay City and Flint are other major cities in the region.

Central Michigan's economy is primarily agricultural, which corn, sugar beets and soybeans being the most grown crops, with strong job growth in construction and hospitality. This region is very stable economically with much help from General Motors, Michigan State University, the State Government, and the Sparrow Health System.

state capitolThe area is connected to other regions of the state through an intricate highway system, making commuting, traveling and hauling easy for industries and individuals.

Mid-Michigan is a busy destination, growing constantly, but maintaining a hometown-heritage atmosphere in many of its towns and cities. The inner part of the Thumb by Bay and Huron Counties surrounds the Saginaw Bay. Towns that lace the Bay are filled with vacation homes, cottages, golf courses, restaurants and boat charters are available among many other activities.

In the summer, there are many fishing and hiking destinations, such as the Sleepy Hollow Campground in Laingsburg. Take your friends and family out to a ballgame at the Lugnut Stadium in downtown Lansing. Festivals include the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, the Elsie Dairy Festival and the Pumpkin Festival in Caro. Finding your way through a corn maze is easy here - there are several in the area!

In the winter, hunting and ice fishing are popular sports. Shop and enjoy the beauty of the Victorian homes Chesaning Christmas Candlelight Walk or visit Jackson in November for the Rose Festival Christmas Wish Craft Show - just in time for Christmas shopping!

Sincerely,

Thoughts of the CBP Chair
To all CBP Operators:

question mark

1.  What is the single most frequent question you get asked about your Park?

2.  How do you usually answer that question?

If you would take a minute and send your responses to Lauren Syring at MEDA (lsyring@medaweb.org) we will assemble and share your responses in the next newsletter.  In the meantime, know that the CBP Committee in MEDA is looking for ways to share details about both where inquiries are coming from and who is looking at your Park on the CBP website.  We hope to share those details in a CBP newsletter later this year.

Again, please take a minute and send your responses to the two questions.

Wishing you a fabulous Michigan Spring!

--Warren Cook,
CBP Committee Chair
