 -- The White Cloud City Park houses the White Cloud City Campground, which has 89 acres of outdoor fun including the White River, nature trails, tennis, swimming, shopping, tubing, canoeing and much more. The campground is open April through November. The Mill Pond Park is available for swimming, fishing and picnics. The beautiful Raceway Rotary Park has paved walkways along the river. Other sites of note are the Flowing Well Park, Cruzan Park, North Street Sports Complex, Lester Sports Complex and the River Walk.

White Cloud has a population of about 30,000. The physiography is made up of rolling plains and hilly uplands. The early history of Newaygo coincides with the history of lumbering on the Muskegon River. Newaygo County today is a splendid all-season recreational area with 234 lakes and 356 miles of rivers and streams. Over half of the County is the Manistee National Forest. The county is home to Gerber Baby Foods, with daily guided tours at the Gerber Products Company if Fremont, half an hour from White Cloud.
