Sponsorship Opportunities

Being a MEDA sponsor would give you more exposure for your organization and its services, thereby creating new customers and building new relationships that will enhance your business growth. Please review the following Sponsorship Opportunities 2012.

Each of these opportunities is designed to give you maximum exposure to the local economic development community. Various price levels for different opportunities give you the option to choose the sponsorship that best suits your needs.

Annual Meeting: $500 - $4,000

Enjoy the opportunity to meet, greet and new generate business by sponsoring our Annual Meeting. Our premier event brings our membership to a location for 3 days to learn, brainstorm and network with others. A variety of economic development topics are covered and nationally recognized experts are featured to give participants the latest information.

Basic Course Scholarships: $625

This is an opportunity to give back to the local economic development community by providing scholarship(s) that would be available directly to economic development professionals whose organizations have limited financial resources.

This week long course is a comprehensive educational opportunity with focus on the critical areas of economic development. MEDA has partnered with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and Western Michigan University to offer the Economic Development Course. For those seeking national certification, the Economic Development Course is the first requirement in the process towards receiving your Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification.


Certified Business Park: $1,500

The Certified Business Park program website receives over 70,000 hits each year and grows every year. Your logo with a link to your website will be visible on each page and in the quarterly newsletter, which goes out to over 2,500 national and international site consultants as well as thousands of others interested in Michigan’s economic growth.


Golf Outing: $100 - $500

MEDA’s Annual Golf Outing raises money for scholarships for members to attend training both in and out of state, so that they can develop the skills and attain the knowledge that will help their community’s economic competitiveness.

Membership Directory: $1,000

The MEDA Membership Directory is distributed to the entire membership and key state agency staff. The membership constantly relies on the directory as quick reference for contact information, so your company will get noticed! Your logo will be on the cover of the brochure and you will receive a 4’ x 9’ page of the brochure for a black and white advertisement!


Membership Programs: $500 - $1,500 (co-sponsorship—exclusive)

These daylong sessions focus on specific topics that develop the economic professional’s skills and knowledge base on strategies to provide economic and job growth to their community.

Web Site: $750

Sponsoring our web site—which receives over 1.3 million page views per year—gives maximum exposure for your company to individuals who work and operate in the economic development profession. Your logo will be featured on all pages of our web site and will link to your web site.


Corporate Sponsorships

Corporate sponsorships are available at 3 levels. Each level allows you the opportunity for memberships, website sponsorship, signage at all events, an exhibit table at our Annual Meeting and more.
