 -- The Star Southfield is the most visited box office in the country. It opened in June, 1997, and 40,000 people purchased tickets in its first three days of operation.
Star Southfield provides a host of amenities, including a rich movie-going experience. The décor alone is spectacular, with huge three-dimensional murals from Close Encounters, King Kong and E.T., and an almost life-size Tiger Stadium.
The Star Southfield offers 20 movie screens and 6,225 rocking chair/stadium style seats. Sound is state-of-the-art, presented with a Sony DCP-1000 Stereo Processor/SDDS-8 channel and THX certified.
