Interesting Information About Alma
Alma College -- Alma college was one of less than 300 colleges across the nation to be selected as a College of Distinction. There are 40 different majors, minors and pre-professional programs available. There are several off-campus study programs that give students a chance to intern abroad. Alma College received a "Best in the Midwest" designation from PrincestonReview.com, which also said that they are one of the best colleges fostering social responsibility and public service.
 Pine River Country Club -- The 18-hole "Pine River" course at the Pine River Country Club facility in Alma, Michigan features 6,615 yards of golf from the longest trees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.2 and it has a slope of 126. Designed by (R) Jerry Matthews, ASGCA, the Pine River golf course opened in 1928.
