The
Certified Business Park designation is a valuable marketing tool that
is used for dual purposes: attracting tenants and enforcing standards.
Certification is a promise to your customers that your parks is a modern
and attractive, high quality business location with the required
components necessary for success.
Benefits
Web Page
Upon
certification, we will create a website for your CBP park. This web
site is created to profile individual Certified Business Parks by
containing general information, a list of tenants, information about the
community, an expandable site plan, a picture, an expandable aerial
photo and more. MEDA also creates an up-to-date hit report that shows
the views each park receives per month and year.

CBP Newsletter
Immediately
upon certification, you will receive the quarterly CBP newsletter,
which contains valuable marketing tips, enhancements to the program,
business park news and more. This newsletter is also sent to 2,500
national and international site consultants and thousands of economic
developers from around the state. If you do not receive the newsletter
for any reason, please contact MEDA.
Articles or press releases on expansion, retention, new businesses, receipt of awards, etc., can be sent to the MEDA staff at any time for inclusion in our newsletter. News items are also included on the CBP Development News section of the CBP website. Remember that any additional exposure of your CBP could lead to a new contact!
Google Analytics
Sign up for Google Analytics to view your park’s page hits. This will help you analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your park, and give you an idea of how much exposure your web page is getting.
Become a CBP Web Partner
Remember that sharing links increases your visibility. MEDA has a new CBP Web Partner page in which we will add a link to your company’s website if you add ours to your site.
CBP Committee
Sign
up for the CBP Committee for an opportunity to meet with other CBP Park
managers/owners. Here you can ask questions, get answers, and put ideas
towards enhancing the CBP program. CBP members are automatically
invited to the Annual Meeting where they can give suggestions to changes
in the program, ask fellow members questions, etc.
Google Clickable Map Feature
Being located on a Google Maps allows prospective tenants to access your page by location and surrounding areas.
Park Development News
Add recent expansions, enhancements of job creation news for your park on our website and in our quarterly CBP Newsletter.
Education Brochure
This
marketing piece was developed to communicate the benefits of
certification for state business parks. The brochure includes a
tear-away card allowing the recipient to request additional information.
Prospecting Brochure
This
marketing piece was developed for current owners of Certified Business
Parks to use as a prospecting tool. The brochure includes a pocket for
each park to enclose a customized fact sheet about the specific
property.
CBP Template
This
template was designed to accompany the Prospecting Brochure. Current
owners of Certified Business Parks may customize their own fact sheet to
market their own specific properties. This template is to be placed in
the pocket of the Prospecting Brochure to complete the mail piece. Visit the CBP website, go to the “Benefits of Certification” page and use the CBP Template document to create a nice handout of your park. Remember to include the simple URL!
Press Releases to Announce Certification
This
modifiable press release will assist a Certified Business Park to
quickly and easily spread the word that they have received
certification. Photo opportunities with MEDA staff or inspectors upon

Tax Increment Financing
A
CBP located in a qualified local unit of government, as defined by the
Local Development Financing Authority Act (PA248 of 2000), has the
potential to capture property taxes to aide in the financing of the
public infrastructure improvements in or around the park, and/or acquire
additional property for park expansion, as well as other public
improvements. See the Laws section in the About Us page.
Listed on US Certified Sites
The
CBP is listed as a Certified Site in the US, "a single source on all
certified site and shovel ready programs nationwide". MEDA is also
looking for additional places to list our CBP site.
