Interesting Information About Boyne City
Boyne City Community Information -- Boyne City has a population over 3,500. Nearly colleges are Northwest Michigan College in Traverse City and North Central Michigan College in Petoskey. The 100-acre Air Industrial Park was built in 1985 by the City of Boyne City to develop and sustain consistent employment opportunities in the area. With Air Industrial Park East now at 80% capacity, the city has developed a 44-acre addition, Air Industrial Park West. The area is surrounded by quality health care - served by two acute-care hospitals, Northern Michigan Hospital, a 243-bed regional referral center in Petoskey, and Charlevoix Area Hospital, a 44-bed community hospital in Charlevoix.
Boyne City Activities -- Miles of beautiful beaches, clear blue lakes and streams, outstanding ski mountains with abundant snowfall, and magnificent nature areas surround the Boyne City area and attract visitors from near and far throughout the year. Restaurants, hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, resorts, attractions, shops, and outfitters greet these visitors and assist them in enjoying the area. New opportunities are always available. Places to ski include Boyne Resorts and Challenge Mountain Handicapable Ski Resort. Casinos include the Odawa Casino Resort and Odawa Hotel. There are five golf courses in the general area.
